No one wanted to do burpees this fine morning, one drop in 1/2 mi! Mosey to the Blocks ( remember these are the Heavy IR blocks) then to the football field.___________________The Thang: D.E. Football Extravaganza!Broke into two teams along the goal line. Team 1 punts football, Team 2 waits for it to hit the ground, upon impact Team 2 sprints to the football performs 10 merkins then returns to goal line in full sprint where Team 1 has been performing an exercise, in good form, as fast as possible. Each person from Team 2 must tag a person from Team 1, which stops their rep progression of the allotted exercise. Team 1 is allowed to begin reps as soon as the football takes flight. Highest rep count of Team1 is used as the base score and the event is repeated alternating Team 1 and Team 2. This represents 1 Round. The group with the highest rep count for the round is the winner of that round. The team who has won the most Rounds at the end of the game is the overall Winner.Winners plank while Losers complete 10 reps of 8 count body builders.Round 1- Hand Release Merkins (w,Team 1)Round 2- LT Block Merkins (w, Team 1)Round 3- Squats (w, Team 2)Round 4- Shoulder press (block) (w, Team 1)Round 5- Big Boys (w, Team 1)Round 6- Clean V’s (snatch and press block, must touch the ground each time) (w, Team 2)Round 7- Crunchy Frogs (w, Team 2)Round 8- V ups w/ block (w, Team 2)Round 9- Curls (w, Team 2)Some of the above may be out of order but I am fairly certain all of the rounds and exercises of the day are represented. I Also know that I was on the losing Team and after returning blocks and a short mosey to the flag Team 1 dutifully completed 10, 8 count bodybuilders while the Team 2 maintained a plank position.COT:Check on your Brothers!!!… A great friend of mine that I admire greatly reached out to me that he was dealing with a lot of “darkness” last year. A great man of faith, awesome wife, 3 beautiful healthy kids, successful /growing chiropractic office and Satan was after him hard. His message to me was one of guilt for not having let his brothers know that he was struggling, with an understanding that we could/ and would be there to listen, support, encourage and help him. My takeaway was that I had not asked him how he was really doing, assuming that everything was great! During this time I was dealing with some very personal issues and he was there for me, to listen and encourage all while he was fighting these demons from the past. Don’t take for granted that your brother is doing well because things seem great from the outside, take the time to reach out and ask how they are really doing. Also don’t be afraid to open up to your brothers and share your burdens, we are here to help one another. Satan is real, God did not call us to walk alone, Steel yourself and fortify your brothers as we prepare for battle.
