It’s become a tradition. Celebrating the Thanksgiving origin story with F3 PAX on the last Thursday of November.
Warmup: Pilgrims were on the way over to America looking for land. Native Americans spotted the ship and performed PILGRIM FLAGGERS aka SSH. The pilgrim lookout on the ship spotted land and did a LAND HO. Since the pilgrims were asleep on the ship, pilgrims did an ENGLISH GETUP (burpee after rolling off your back). The pilgrims had no boats, so they had to swim to shore AQUAMAN style. The pilgrims were famished after 66 days at sea. Immediately they went to work gathering food off the ground with BERRY PICKERS.
The Thang: The natives showed the pilgrims a new, fast way to travel. We split into two groups for an INDIAN RUN. We ran to the field in a race to GRAB SWEET POTATOES. (actual race relay to grab sweet potatoes from across the field. First team with 5 tots wins. For an extended 10 COUNT, we circled up for a childhood favorite of CLUCK CLUCK GOBBLE. (duck duck goose, but instead of sitting, PAX are in a deep squat.). Then pair up for STANDING ARM WRESTLE, ELBOW WRESTLE and INDIAN LEG WRESTLE. The pilgrims, enthusiastic with all the games, decided to teach the natives the game of RUGBY.
The score was tied and everyone went to celebrate a feast of Thanksgiving.
End with nameorama, 1FNG, and COT. 3 2.0’s came out today. Outstanding!
COT: What are we grateful for today? Family, grace of God, being alive (2.0 answer), F3, community, food, freedom.
